Terms and Conditions

Agreement to Terms and Conditions

  • By making any reservation with us (Snug Harbour Cottage and Marina), you hereby agree to our terms and conditions.


Service Charge

  • We do not apply any additional mandatory fees other than the government mandated 13% sales tax (HST), except for service add-ons. Many resorts apply additional mandatory fees to leisure guest invoices.


Pets (Add-on)

  • We welcome dogs to our cottages, a $40 cleaning fee add-on is needed for each pet of your reservation. This comes with a bag of brand named dog treat and two biodegradable pet bowls.


Cots (Add-on)

We do offer extra cots in rare occasion for extra guest space which cost $40 per stay. Availability is not guaranteed, please contact guest service before arrival. 


Payment Method

  • We prefer reservations to be made directly from our website. We will require 30% deposit of the total reservation to secure any reservations.
  • In the case of guest do not have a valid credit card upon check-ins, the whole balance due of your reservation needs to be paid in full by either E-transfer or cash, plus $300 in damage deposit which will be returned upon check out.


Cancellation Policies

  • When you make a reservation with us, the space is assigned to you and is no longer available to our other guests.
  • A full refund is given to guests who cancel within 24 hours of booking and 30 days prior to arrival.
  • 50% of deposit refund if cancelled 30 days prior to arrival. Within 30 days of arrival deposit is non-refundable.
  • If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the paid nights will not be refundable.
  • In case the guest does not show up (and does not cancel in advance), the total price of the reservation will be charged and this will be non-refundable.
  • Deposits will be credited to accounts on confirmed departure date.


Late Check-Out

  • You can check-out any time up until 11AM by local time. Later check-out times may be requested, although we may not always be able to accommodate late changes and will depend on availability and on how busy we are. A late check-out fee may apply after 11AM.


US Currency

  • Our rates are quoted in Canadian dollars, however, we do accept US currency, at the exchange rates of 1:1.1.
    (For example, if the rate is $110 Canadian Dollars, you could pay $100 US dollars at your convenience) 


Rate & Policy Changes

  • Rates and policies are subject to change without notice and are not guaranteed until your reservation has been confirmed in writing. Snug Harbour Cottages reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation without notice or cause, and if done so, will refund any deposits in full.


Room Policy

  • We want you to have a great time when you are here. But if things get too crazy, we go by the old-school rule of ‘you break it, you buy it’ and property damages or missing items will be charged to your credit card at market value.
  • Pre-existing damages or room issues must be reported to the front desk immediately after registration to avoid responsibility and potential charges.
  • The hotel allows guests, with permission, to receive occasional packages and special deliveries at the property. We are not responsible for the packages or their contents or the storage of them. Sing your heart out and have passionate conversation all day long, but from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the whole property goes into hush mode for what we like to call quiet time (or sleep time).


Parking Policy

  • Vacations should be stress-free and for that reason, you get to park right in front of your room (or super close). By parking a vehicle at our facility, you (and your guests) are doing so on your own accord. The hotel does not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident or loss to your vehicle or personal property.


Visitors

  • We do not allow any day visitors with the exception of friends of guests that are staying at the cottages. Friends may visit for the day, but are not allowed to stay overnight in the guests’ room.


Terms For Boats


Damage Deposit

  • There is a reservation and damage deposit required of $250.00 on our aluminum fishing boats and $500.00 on our pontoon boats. All boat rentals must return by 6:00pm every night and for late return there is a $50 service charge for every hour.

Gasoline

  • Gasoline is extra cost for all boat rentals. Price around $2.5 - $3 per Liter. (Minimum use required, 2L/14' Boats and 4L/Pontoons)
